Typological Self Portrait
2025
In an ongoing typological photographic series, I dissected the living body into almost mechanical parts through a series of self-portraits shot within a self-imposed challenge, each morning for 16 consecutive days.
This repeated ritual traces the small, persistent changes of the body against the effort to impose a uniform, mechanical appearance.
Hovering above this entire process is a mapping of passing time — and time suspended.
This work arose from an inexplicable internal drive and, to me, represents the “matrix” to which we are bound in modern life: a system in which I was trapped for years, from which I have broken free in recent years, and which I fear I may one day be forced to return to.
